“We’re all fools, all the time. It’s just we’re a different kind each day. We think, I’m not a fool today. I’ve learned my lesson. I was a fool yesterday but not this morning. Then tomorrow we find out that, yes, we were a fool today too. I think the only way we can grow and get on in this world is to accept the fact we’re not perfect and live accordingly.”
― Ray Bradbury
I was listening to a lecture today on building a coaching/therapy practice and the speaker said, “you own a practice, not a perfect”. It reminded me of all my years of practicing tennis, not to perfect my game, but to continually improve it. And all my studies, not to perfect my knowledge, but to expand it. I have a yoga practice, a mindfulness practice and a psychotherapy practice.
I’m not perfect, I’m in practice.
